Ringing the Bell on the Engine!!
Checking out the Caboose!!
Sitting in the passenger car!
Trying out the hand rail cart!
Today I was able to join Allaunna on her field trip to the Train Museum in Temple, TX. We had a great time!! Allaunna was very excited to get to ride the school bus to get there! More excited than getting to see the trains again (we had gone there last summer with Daddy).
We live to close to the school for her to ride the bus (they don't run them if you live too close to the school itself).
We got a lot of good info on trains though! It was a chilly day and a bit windy. I was so happy to make those memories with my daughter today!
Daniel is having a rough time this week.....last Friday he banged his shin on the monkey bars really bad. Somehow it became infected, most likely from sliding around in the dirt at baseball practice on Monday. The doctor diagnosed it as cellulitis and he is currently on antibiotics. We are praying that will do the trick and it will begin to heal. He gets to play hookie from school with a doctor's note in the mean time though. Yay, for him!
Vic is doing well. His accommodations are better this go round, better chow and such. And a nice gym! We do get to communicate with him more often than last separations, however, I hold in my mind that can always change. He sends his love to all and thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers! It is such a blessing to have the technology we do today to stay close to daddy!
I can not imagine being an army wife in the times of past wars when years would go by without a phone call or even a letter in some instances! I admire those families that went through those times!!
We know that Daddy has important work to do while he is there and we are proud of what he does, as well as thankful! We love him so much and miss him dearly, but hope the days will go by quickly to get him home with us! In the mean time, we stay busy while he's there and keep a pretty steady routine here at home.
