So, here we go! "It is what it is Take 5".....Vic has once again gone to serve overseas. We miss him dearly, but are able to chat online and will hopefully be set up soon to skype with the children and I. We are so thankful for technology that enables us to keep connected in his absence.
The kids are taking his leaving very well. Allaunna is mostly excited about being able to talk to daddy on the computer and asks everyday when we will be able to do so. Unfortunately the time change makes it difficult to catch the kids out of school or not asleep. Caitlynn stays busy with school and her friends and has hit the preteen attitude of "whatever", lol. Daniel is taking dad's leaving the hardest, but we are working many options to help him deal with his emotions and feelings. He wants to be everyones friend and this causes some disruptions of talking at school. Poor guy just wants to do the fun things. Mom's temper and his temper don't always work together, but we have implemented some refocusing strategies and I just continue to pray for patience and understanding. He is completely outnumbered once again in the house, so he's trying to hold his own as the only boy for now. He is enjoying getting back into the baseball season and is loving it! He plays catcher and I also believe he will play in the outfield position, as he has an arm on him! We will get into our routine and keep the fort held down for Dad while he focuses on his mission.
We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for Vic and our family! We are very blessed with supportive family and friends and appreciate everyone of you!
